Survey Junkie is a very straightforward platform and really easy to use! It’s one of my favorite paid survey sites.

It’s based on a point system and the points can be converted to real cash. You will need to reach 1,000 to be able to withdraw your money (with PayPal or Gift Cards).

1,000 Points = $10

Most surveys will bring in between 100 and 200 points, so it doesn’t take long to reach the threshold.

As soon as you have successfully completed a survey, Survey Junkie will immediately add the points to your account.

2. Swagbucks

Payment method: PayPal, Amazon gift cards, Starbucks and more
Payout threshold: $25 for PayPal cash, $3 for gift cards
Typical survey time: 10-20 minutes

I love Swagbucks because not only you can fill surveys, but you can also earn good cash back for online shopping. You can also earn gift cards for things you do online (like watching videos and search the internet).

It’s one of my favorite survey sites to make some extra cash. Swagbucks pays you in SBs points. You accumulate SBs, then convert them into cash or gift cards. I made over $200 in my first couple of months using it, by combining all their ways to make money!

MyPoints is another great survey site, owned by the same company that runs Swagbucks. You can earn points through surveys, plus a number of other ways like making purchases, watching videos, playing games and even browsing the internet.

It’s rated great on Trustpilot, the website is user-friendly and easy to navigate. You can immediately see how many points you’ll earn for each survey and it gives an accurate estimate of how long it will take to complete.

You can get gift cards for as little as $3 however, PayPal payments start at $25.

4. Inbox Dollars

Payment method: Cash via checks or Visa cash cards.
Payout threshold: $30
Typical survey time: 10-20 minutes

Inbox Dollars pays cash! No points to convert, but cash straight into your account. Signing up is very easy: you just need to answer a few questions and watch a couple of videos that will explain to you how the website work, and you will find $5 in your account!

The website is pretty easy to use and easy to navigate to find new surveys. Generally, you can earn anywhere from $0.25 for a 10-minute survey to $4.50 for more extensive surveys.

You need to reach the payment threshold of $30 before you can cash out your money, and within a couple of weeks, you will get paid!

It’s pretty simple!

I found that some surveys don’t pay very much and can be a bit time-consuming, but Inbox Dollars always pay on time and are very reliable.

Definitely one to subscribe to!

5. Survey Club

Survey Club is a website that gives you access to a directory of surveys. They act as the middleman to connect you with several other survey sites. This is great because you will be able to find a lot of different surveys available, but it also means that rewards are a bit lower because Survey Club will take a cut.

Survey Club pays cash into your PayPal account, and you can take your first payment once you have accumulated $20 in rewards.

The great thing about Survey Club is that they also offer access to focus groups and market research studies. And these can make you anything between $50 to $200 for an hour of your time! Once you are a member Survey Club will use your information to match you with available studies in your area. You decide which studies you’d like to participate in.

Once you’ve completed a study, Survey Club will deposit cash into your rewards account.

6. Global Test Market

Payment method: PayPal, Amazon gift cards, Checks, Starbucks etc.
Payout threshold: $50
Typical survey time: 20 minutes

Global Test Market is a well known US survey site that is now available in many countries.

They will reward you with cash payments when you reach a minimum of 1100 points ($50). For each survey you take, you’ll earn from 35-250 points (which translates to roughly $1.5 to $1.75 per survey).

It can take up to ten business days to receive vouchers and PayPal payments. Even if you don’t qualify for a survey, you’ll still earn a few points when you answer the qualifying questions, which is a bonus.

GlobalTestMarket also sends surveys that enter you into a prize draw instead of paying you. I really don’t think this is worth your time, but it’s up to you!

7. OneOpinion

Payment method: PayPal, Amazon gift cards, Visa Debit card
Payout threshold: $25
Typical survey time: 10-15 minutes

Signing up for OneOpinion is quick and easy – you fill out the registration form (or talk to their BOT Emily), and follow the instructions. As soon as you confirm your registration via email, you can start taking surveys and earning rewards!

With OneOpinion, you can redeem your points as cash, with PayPal or get a Visa Debit card sent to your address. They also have the option of Amazon gift cards!

Most surveys pay the points equivalent of $1 to $5 ($1 = 1,000 points). If you are taking surveys daily, you’ll reach the 25,000 point threshold quickly. And the great thing about OneOpinion is that, even if you don’t qualify for a survey, they’ll still reward you with 50 points just for responding to the qualifying questions!

Once you have reached 25,000 Points (1,000 points = $1) you are able to redeem them for cash!

8. Vindale Research

Payout threshold: $50
Typical survey time: 10 minutes up to 1 hour

With Vindale Research, each survey is worth real cash, paid out via PayPal.

The reason I like Vindale Research is that they have some very highly paid surveys: up to $50! These surveys are more complicated and might take up to an hour to complete, but they are a great way to make some extra money!

Pinecone Research is an exclusive survey and product testing company. You can’t just sign up on their website, as you need an invite.

Pinecone is great, as once you gain access, they are very generous and you will earn $3 per survey, and sometime you might even be selected for product testing.

It’s hard to sign up and it’s not always open as spots are limited. There is no guarantee they’ll be open to new registrations at any one time, you just need to click the link below and see.

10. Ipsos i-Say

Ipsos is the third largest survey-based research firm in the world and its consumer survey platform accepts people from all over the world.

Most of the offers available here are for small surveys where you can only earn $0.40-$1.50 per survey, but they do offer from time to time high-end surveys that pay $50-$100 for an hour of your time.

They also have a mobile app that allows you to take surveys on the go.

When you complete a survey or focus group, you’ll earn points instead of cash. Points vary depending on survey length. You can redeem your points when you have at least 500 in your account, but you’ll need 1530 points to get $15 cash via PayPal.

You can sign up for email reminders that will let you know when a new survey is available. Some people say that they receive only a few offers, but I managed to make over 950 points in a couple of weeks! Not too bad!

Dan discovered Google Opinion Rewards quite a few years ago and loves it!

If you use Android (tablet and mobile), the Google Opinion Rewards app is a great way to earn credit for purchasing apps, games, books, music, and movies on the Google Play store.

The amazing thing with this app is that surveys take as little as 10 seconds, and you can earn money by answering as little as one question!

You will receive between $0.10 and $1.00 per survey completed. The amount can vary and is dependent on the number of questions in the survey and the amount of time it takes to answer the survey.

When you download the free app, you’ll need to grant it access to your location, and provide some basic info about yourself. You’ll then get notified when a new survey becomes available.

Credit is applied to your account immediately after you complete a survey, and expires after one year. You can use it to buy movies, music, books, and apps on the Google Play store.

Can you actually make money from online surveys?

The short answer is yes! Brands need to know what their customers want! Your personal opinion is really valuable: companies will love you for sharing what you think and reward you with cash!

I always used to think of surveys as a waste of time, but if you choose the right online surveys and maximize your profit, you can actually make some cash on the side!

It’s now one of my favorite evening hobbies, as I barely need to use my brain to answers questions!

DOs

1. Set up a separate email account

If you subscribe to many survey sites, your Inbox will be filled up by new survey requests. You should set up a new email account or set up filters in your Inbox to make sure survey emails don’t get mixed up with your daily emails.

2. Do refer friends

A lot of online survey sites will give you cash or points if you refer friends. When you register, check if there are any referral bonuses. You might be able to earn some more by sharing your referral link with your buddies.

3. Keep a record

Make sure you have a record of all the survey sites you subscribe to. Every time you take a survey and have cash sitting in a survey account, write that down. This will help you to make sure you get paid, and to figure out which survey sites are more profitable for you and worth your time.

4. Sign up for several online surveys

When you are starting out, the more online survey sites you subscribe to, the more chances to make money you have! Once you find out which ones work best for you, you can ditch the others!

DON’Ts

1. Don’t leave money in your account

If you leave money sitting in your account for too long, you might risk losing it. Survey websites are not protected by any insurance like banks. If they close down, you’ll lose your money. Make sure you withdraw your funds as soon as you reach the minimum threshold. Some survey sites might also close your account if you are inactive for too long! So make sure you log in from time to time, especially if you have cash sitting there.

2. Don’t lie in surveys

Some survey sites will ask you to answer qualifying questions before you can take a survey. Sometimes you will not be able to take part in the survey based on your age, gender, etc. Do not lie, hoping you’ll have better chances to be picked for a survey! If the survey company finds out, they can cancel your entire balance!

3. Don’t take surveys that pay very little

Once you start keeping track of the surveys you take, you’ll be able to figure out which sites work best for you. Some survey sites will tell you exactly how long surveys take and how much you can make, others might just tell you how much you’ll earn but won’t give you a time estimate.
